10-21-19 PUMPKIN INVESTIGATIONS
Students spent a lot of time today learning all about pumpkins, including why they're so popular at this time of year (harvest time), different kinds, the Life Cycle of Pumpkins, and whether they'd sink or float. They also did a variety of math activities with pumpkins. We estimated and measured height and circumference, weighed little pumpkins and counted the number of seeds in a pumpkin (can you believe there were 278 seeds in our class pumpkin?!) Thanks to our parent helpers for making this a fun event!
